About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and highly respected heavy civil contractor known for delivering some of Canada's most complex infrastructure projects. With a strong portfolio that includes major bridges, tunnels, marine infrastructure, dams, wharf, jetties, deep foundations, and large-scale transportation projects, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead high-profile projects across Ontario and other major Canadian markets.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a construction professional with extensive experience managing large multidisciplinary civil projects from pre-construction through execution and closeout. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project strategy, operational execution, client relationships, and overall project performance.

  • Base salary ranging from $190,000 – $260,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for large-scale heavy civil and marine infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, dams, jetties, wharf, and complex structural works
  • Lead project teams through all phases of construction including pre-construction planning, procurement, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and project closeout
  • Manage project financial performance including budgets, forecasting, cost controls, change management, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, municipalities, agencies, subcontractors, and joint venture partners
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, environmental, and regulatory requirements
What We Are Looking For
  • 15+ years of progressive heavy civil construction experience with significant leadership experience on complex infrastructure projects
  • Proven background managing major bridge, tunnel, marine, dam, port, wharf, jetty, or other large structural civil construction projects valued in excess of $100M
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methodologies including structural concrete, marine works, deep foundations, temporary works, excavation, shoring, and complex staging
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple stakeholders in high-profile project environments
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. P.Eng., PMP, or Gold Seal certification would be considered an asset
