About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Technician to join our service team supporting the construction industry. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, organizing, and distributing parts for heavy equipment, construction vehicles, and fleet maintenance operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source parts for heavy equipment, construction vehicles, trucks, trailers, and shop equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and inventory records
  • Receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming parts and supplies
  • Process parts requests from technicians and ensure timely delivery to the shop floor
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
  • Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and warranty documentation
  • Assist with core returns and warranty claims
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department
  • Support shop operations and service scheduling as needed
  • Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory audits

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Parts Technician, Parts Advisor, or similar role preferred
  • Experience with construction equipment, heavy trucks, agricultural equipment, or fleet operations considered an asset
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment components preferred
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
  • Ability to read parts diagrams and technical information
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Valid Ontario drivers licence required
  • Forklift certification considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Shop and warehouse environment
  • Frequent lifting of parts and materials up to 50 lbs
  • Fast-paced environment supporting active repair operations
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required during peak seasons
