Refrigeration Technician (Industrial 313A) – G1 Gas License Required

Full-Time – Mississauga / Greater Toronto Area

On-Call Rotation: 1 week, approx. 4 weeks per year

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for the service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and must hold a valid G1 Gas Technician license to service gas-fired equipment commonly found in industrial refrigeration facilities, along with a valid 313A Refrigeration License.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
• Service and maintain gas-fired equipment, including boilers, unit heaters, and other heating systems
• Diagnose electrical and control system issues, including motors, sensors, and PLC-based systems
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and complete accurate service documentation
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation
• Follow all safety standards, including TSSA, CSA B52, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal project teams
• Support system commissioning and upgrades as needed

What You Bring

• G1 Gas Technician License (TSSA) – required
• 313A Refrigeration license – required
• Member in good standing of local 787 – required
• Industrial refrigeration experience – preferred
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems – preferred
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and control schematics
• Valid Ontario driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in mechanical rooms and industrial environments
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required
• Ability to lift equipment and tools
