Pharmacy Manager - People's Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities
- Manage pharmacy staff by assigning work tasks, supervising, evaluating, training, and scheduling for all employees
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff; provide effective performance management feedback through employee recognition and disciplinary action when necessary
- Oversee prescriptions to ensure accuracy and that proper procedures are being followed
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and in a timely matter
- Proactively conduct medical consultations with patients in a manner that is friendly and respectful
- Administer immunizations
- Adhere to controlled drugs and substances laws
- Consult with physicians and provide timely resolutions to patients' and physicians' requests or concerns
- Create awareness and educate customers through local initiatives such as public health days, clinics, etc.
- Manage expenses at the pharmacy
- Open and close the pharmacy
- Maintain protocols and procedures
- Manage inventory (medication and over-the-counter)
- Keep pharmacy clean and organized
- Manage collection of payments and accounts receivables
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists Manitoba
- Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy
- Good understanding of Kroll Software
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
- Excellent strategic planning, leadership, and communication
- The ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Continuing care pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with Nexxsys preferred, but not strictly necessary
- Experience managing staff preferred
