We are hiring a Glass Operations Mechanic in Waterdown! You will be responsible for performing maintenance repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting in the glass plant. The pay rate for this position is $43-46/hour, based on experience. We pay weekly every Friday! Responsibilities include: - Bearing replacement, belt replacement, lubrication system maintenance, dust collector maintenance, small mechanical construction projects, and air system maintenance - Operate Glass Cleaning, Glass Operations equipment as standard but be able to operate plant legacy equipment. - Packaging 1000 kg bulk bags of products via bulk bag loading system in Glass area. - Monitor quality and record general production information. - Operate forklift and scissor lift. - Operate front end loader for glass transfer and waste removal. - Operate control panels and equipment systems from a PLC interface Requirements: - 433A certification is required - Ability to lift up to 50 kg - Previous experience in a production/manufacturing setting - Previous experience operating forklift, loader, and scissor lift is preferred. - Must have basic math skills and strong verbal and written communication skills. - Work at heights using fall protection. A 433A certification is required, with the ability to lift up to 50 kg, and experience in a production/manufacturing setting. Forklift, loader, and scissor lift experience is preferred.
Work involves heights with fall protection, and there may be use of AI tools during the pre-screening process as part of our policy.
