About the Business Analyst Role
Join a dynamic, data-driven team as a Business Analyst specializing in spirits wine and beer sales analytics. This role combines advanced business intelligence skills with deep industry expertise to support some of the largest and most innovative beverage alcohol portfolios in Canada.

Drive the end-to-end reporting and analytics process for spirits, wine and beer portfolio. Harness advanced analytical methods and large datasetsespecially from Provincial Liquor Boards to deliver real-time insights that inform sales strategies, maximize growth opportunities, and optimize brand performance. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable recommendations, ensuring all programs are executed against defined KPIs and business objectives.

Key Deliverables
Lead the design and delivery of advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting for the spirits, wine, and beer portfolio, utilizing provincial liquor board data to anticipate market trends and proactively address business needs.
Work closely with provincial sales leadership and liquor board contacts to assess the success of retail and on-premises initiatives. Deliver clear, actionable recommendations to enhance execution and drive incremental sales in spirits, wine and beer.
Collaborate with internal partners, including finance, commercial planning, net revenue management, and customer marketing, to deliver weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting as needed to further the needs of the business and promote continuous improvement.
Support and collaborate with Sales and Marketing for their business review needs by gathering data and insights that will add value to their business needs and validate their assumptions or keys to success.

Core Competencies
1. Business Data Analysis Driver: Highly skilled in cleaning, structuring, and interpreting large and complex datasetsespecially provincial liquor board data. Expertise in advanced statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data visualization to unlock business intelligence and guide commercial decision-making for spirits and wine sales.
2. Business Intelligence Driver: Bridge the gap between business needs and analytics solutions by translating complex questions into actionable insights, ensuring stakeholders at all levels understand and leverage advanced analytics to elevate spirits and wine sales.
3. Project & Product management - Lead: Able to understand, define, apply, and practice basic project management practices & ideologies in day-to-day work and able to manage the product lifecycle of PMA Analytics products & solutions.
4. Collaboration & Requirements Definition - Driver: Able to prepare for and conduct collaboration and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to discuss their needs/ questions, to be able to collate, structure, and organize business requirements. Also, able to identify and design solution options to meet business needs, and able to maintain ongoing connections/ touchpoints with stakeholders throughout the activities until the delivery of the final solution.
5. Business Strategy Support: Able to conduct assessments and identify opportunities to create forward-looking strategies from high-level to tactical executions.
6. Business Analysis Planning, Monitoring & Process Management Lead: Able to organize and coordinate efforts of PMA Analytics and stakeholders in line with agile project management practices, and according to defined objectives. Able to define, implement & maintain business processes for effective governance.

Knowledge and Skills

Build and grow relationships with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, commercial planning, supply chain and finance.
Analyze and synthesize market, sales, and operational metrics for spirits, wine and beer. Extract key business drivers and deliver data-driven recommendations using large, complex datasets from Provincial Liquor Boards, translating findings into strategic business opportunities.
Demonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalism with internal and external partners.

Qualifications
Degree in Business Management, Administration, or finance is preferred.
4 years of business experience in CPG / beverage alcohol / finance is preferred.
Proven analytical skills, experience working with and manipulating data.
Experience utilizing analytics and reporting tools / databases; taking raw data and creating business presentations.
Proficient or expert level of experience in Tableau, Excel, and other MS Office products
Excellent negotiation and influencing Skills.
Takes initiative, self starter.
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening and written.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
