Planning and Inventory Control Manager
Our client is an established CPG manufacturing company in the Surrey area. They are looking for a Planning and Inventory Control Manager to join their busy and growing operation.
It is a multi site production and distribution business and this would be a role that will lead their demand and production planning functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the weekly demand & production planning cycle, ensuring production plans are completed on time, reflect accurate demand signals, and are aligned across Production, Sales, and Warehousing teams.
  • Ensure daily production work orders are accurately issued, using real-time production outputs, confirmed inventory levels, and current demand requirements.
  • Own and continuously refine the Production Planning process, making sure tools, methods, and communication routines stay aligned with business growth, capacity changes, customer requirements, and operational constraints.
  • Develop, document, and communicate planning strategies for non-routine events, including statutory holidays, planned downtime, equipment maintenance, new product launches, customer promotions, and unexpected operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Warehousing, Delivery, and Production to align demand forecasts, production schedules, space constraints, and service-level needs.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and adjust inventory min/max tolerances based on changing variables such as seasonality, sales trends, special projects, capacity shifts, and customer initiatives.
  • Other as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, supply chain, and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Sales, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP systems and inventory management platforms
Salary in the 100-140,000 range depending on experience.
