About the Role
As a Mechanical Designer at Advanced Material Handling, you will play a vital role in our
engineering and design team. Your primary focus will be to develop innovative designs for
custom material handling systems, ensuring optimal functionality and manufacturability.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in mechanical design, work with
cross-functional teams, and contribute to delivering high-quality solutions to our
customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development: Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD
software, ensuring designs meet project specifications and industry standards. - Collaboration: Work closely with the fabrication, sales, and engineering teams to
translate customer requirements into feasible designs. - Blueprint Analysis: Analyze project blueprints and customer requirements to ensure
the accuracy and functionality of designs. - Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design challenges to optimize efficiency and
manufacturability. - Quality Control: Conduct design reviews to verify accuracy, compliance with
standards, and readiness for production. - Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation, including BOMs
(Bill of Materials) and revision records. - Innovation: Recommend and implement design improvements to enhance product
performance and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in mechanical design, preferably in material
handling or a similar industry.
Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
