Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong bulk material handling experience to join the team in Vancouver. This role will support major industrial and mining projects, including the design and analysis of conveyors, transfer stations, chutes, and related mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support mechanical design for bulk material handling systems (conveyors, feeders, transfer points, dust control systems, etc.).

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams across mechanical, structural, electrical, and project management groups.
  • Provide technical guidance to EITs and junior engineers.
  • Support client meetings, project planning, and design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and national engineering codes and standards.

Qualifications

  • P.Eng. in Quebec (mandatory).
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–15+ years of experience in industrial or mining projects, with a strong focus on bulk material handling.
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical design tools and engineering calculations.
  • Experience with port or marine bulk terminal projects considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.

Compensation

  • Salary: $110,000–$140,000
  • 4 weeks vacation
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within a national project portfolio
