Assistant Branch Manager, Oakville

The Assistant Branch Manageris responsible forassistingthe Branch Manager in all operations including, but not limited to sales,operational management and themanagement and training of employees, ensuringhigh levelsof customer service, timeliness of repairs and special orders, and monitoring inventory levels.

Cores Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Branch Managerinclude, but are not limited toassistingand supporting the branch manager with the following:

Team Leadership:

• Provide day-to-day leadership, including coaching, training, and performance feedback.

• Cultivatea positive and collaborative work environment.

• Support team members andassistin resolving customer serviceinquires.

• Train staff on product knowledge and information access.

• Plan and oversee recruitment activities to meet the staffing needs

• Conduct interviews of candidates for select roles

• Overseesandfacilitatestraining for new hires and ongoing staff development.

• Review and approve employee timesheets and time-off requests.

• Manage the scheduling requirements

Operational Management:

• Assistwith facility management, safety, and security of all customers and employees on premises, loss prevention, and banking.

• Assistwith product management, including ordering, receiving, price changes, Customer Returns, Vendor Returns and handling damaged products

• Ensureaccuraterecords for repairs and special orders

• Manage inventory and coordinate proper scheduling of inbound and outbound merchandise

• Ensuretimelystocking of inventory.

• Assistin the reconciliation of COD transactions

• Work with other departments to resolve issues and support operational needs.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized environment, including facilities, vehicles, and equipment.

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure operational and safety compliance.

Sales Generation:

• Supportingthe overall operations of thebranchensuring customer service levels are met in the absence oratthe direction of the Branch Manager

• Develop relationships with customers that positions Independent Mechanical Supply as their first choice forpurchasingmaterials

• Developstrategicpartnershipswith vendors.

• Work closely with vendors in a fair and open way to position Independent Mechanical Supply as a preferred partner (better than normal margins, preferential delivery dates, sharing of leads) within their strategy

• Maintain strong knowledge of products, applications, services, and internal processes

Mandatory Requirements

• Industry product knowledge

• Software/System Experience: AS400, Microsoft Office 365

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Ability to build internal and external relationships

• Demonstrated analytical, organizational,planningand team building skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communicationskills;

• Experience suggesting and implementing changes to processes and procedure
