The Role

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods supporting our manufacturing and business operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuity of supply, cost effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards, while contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Senior Buyer is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong focus on supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will partner closely with Operations, Quality, Finance, and R&D to support production requirements, new product development, and long-term supply chain strategies.

Who You Are

You are a highly organized and proactive procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment. You bring strong communication and collaboration skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a commitment to quality and operational excellence.

Extensive packaging procurement experience is required for this role. The ideal candidate has demonstrated expertise sourcing and managing packaging materials within a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of packaging specifications, supplier capabilities, production line compatibility, cost optimization, packaging innovation, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain
• Extensive experience purchasing packaging materials in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment required
• Experience in a food manufacturing, CPG or regulatory environment preferred
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and performance
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills required)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional designation such as SCMP or CPSM
