Job Details:
Our client, Top Grade Tire Recycling, is a locally owned and operated business specializing in tire collection, recycling, and resale. They support local businesses while contributing to sustainable waste solutions and have built a strong reputation for safety, reliability, and quality service.
They are currently seeking a full-time Tire Technician to join their growing team. This hands-on role is focused on tire installation, repair, balancing, and general shop support. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is looking for long-term employment with a stable schedule and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tire installation, balancing, rotations, and repairs safely and efficiently;
- Inspect tires and identify wear, damage, or safety concerns, making recommendations for repair or replacement when required;
- Ensure proper inflation, balancing, and overall tire performance standards are met;
- Perform TPMS relearns, resets, and calibrations as needed;
- Inspect vehicles for tire and brake wear and communicate findings to the service team;
- Complete digital inspections and maintain accurate service records;
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment, including daily cleaning;
- Monitor commonly used tire service supplies and notify management when stock replenishment is required;
- Dispose of used tires and materials in designated recycling and waste areas;
- Take ownership of work performed and contribute to a high standard of customer satisfaction and quality service;
- Represent Top Grade Tire Recycling professionally in all customer and team interactions.
Requirements
- Previous tire technician or automotive service experience preferred;
- Knowledge of tire installation, balancing, repairs, and related equipment considered an asset;
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks efficiently;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship;
- Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment;
- Physically capable of lifting and moving tires and equipment weighing 50+ lbs;
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible, with willingness to work overtime when operationally required;
- Commitment to following all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Competitive hourly wage of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Overtime opportunities available when required.
This full-time, onsite role involves standing, lifting, bending, and working in an active yard environment. Candidates will be required to complete and pass a criminal record check.
