Job Summary:

We are looking for a commercially minded professional who can translate HVAC asset data, service scope, and customer requirements into accurate, competitive, and profitable preventative maintenance contract estimates. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience pricing HVAC PM agreements, strong Excel skills for building and analyzing estimating models, and the ability to use Copilot and other digital tools to improve speed, insight, and proposal quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead estimating and pricing for HVAC preventative maintenance contracts, renewals, amendments, and related capital opportunities
  • Prepare accurate contract estimates using asset data, service scope, labor assumptions, site conditions, and commercial requirements
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations leaders to develop winning proposals that are both competitive and operationally sound
  • Support national and strategic account opportunities across multiple sites, regions, and service models
  • Identify pricing risks, margin gaps, and scope assumptions, and recommend adjustments to improve profitability and contract quality
  • Use Excel-based models and analysis to develop pricing scenarios, compare quoted versus actual results, and improve estimating accuracy over time
  • Leverage Copilot and other digital tools to streamline analysis, improve proposal quality, and support faster decision-making
  • Develop and standardize estimating templates, tools, and processes to improve consistency across the business
  • Provide commercial insight on contract structure, pricing strategy, and customer requirements to support growth and retention

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC service, estimating, account management, or sales
  • Management or sales background with demonstrated success supporting service agreement growth and customer solutions
  • Proven experience estimating HVAC preventative maintenance contracts, including scope development, pricing assumptions, and contract structure
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs, asset-based service models, and service agreement pricing
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building pricing models, analyzing large data sets, and developing practical estimating tools
  • Strong Copilot skills with the ability to use AI tools to improve analysis, productivity, and proposal development
  • Ability to translate field and operational knowledge into accurate, commercially sound estimates
  • Strong communication skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to work effectively with Sales, Operations, and Finance

The salary range is $75,000 to $100,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth's total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
