Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Echocardiography Technician to perform high-quality office-based echocardiograms and assist in the evaluation of cardiac function. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to provide accurate diagnostic imaging and excellent patient care. This position also includes training in performing regular cardiac stress testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms in an office-based clinical setting
- Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures and explain testing processes
- Obtain high-quality cardiac ultrasound images and measurements for physician interpretation
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of echocardiography equipment
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures
- On-site training for stress tests, as this will be an additional requirement
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff regarding patient care and test results
- Participate in training to perform regular cardiac stress testing procedures
- Assist with stress test setup, patient monitoring, and documentation as needed
- Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Echocardiography or Cardiovascular Technology program
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification preferred
- Prior echocardiography experience preferred, but motivated candidates willing to train are encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound imaging techniques
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment
- Basic computer and electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient cardiology or internal medicine office settings
- Interest in expanding skills in cardiac stress testing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Work Environment:
- Office-based cardiology or medical practice setting
