Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field; OR a college/university diploma in a related field combined with relevant work experience in finance or fund administration.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, fund accounting, or a related finance role, including exposure to NAV calculations, P&L reporting, and risk reporting.
Specific Skills:
- Proficiency with financial modelling and analysis tools (advanced Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, VBA)
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of fund accounting, financial markets, and risk management principles
- Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Main Duties:
- Evaluate financial risk
- Use portfolio management software
- Examine and analyze financial and investment information (profiles of companies, stock or bond prices, yields and future trends)
- Prepare company, industry and economic outlooks, analytical reports, briefings notes and correspondence
- Plan short- and long-term cash flows and assess financial performance
- Variance analysis
- Calculate and review Net Asset Values (NAVs) for funds under management; verify accuracy of pricing, accruals, and fund-level positions
- Liaise with third-party fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting, resolve discrepancies, and oversee day-to-day fund administration activities
- Prepare and analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements, identifying drivers of performance and reporting findings to management
- Produce risk reporting including market, credit, and liquidity risk metrics; prepare regular risk profiles and escalate issues as required
- Analyse operating expenditures (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX), prepare variance analyses, and support budget planning and forecasting
- Support the financial review of legal agreements and contracts, assessing financial implications and advising on related provisions
- Coordinate with external accounting firms.
- Evaluate financial risks and prepare financial forecasts, financing scenarios, and capital management documents.
- Develop, implement, and maintain tools and policies for managing and analyzing the financial portfolio and treasury function.
