Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Garde Mange/Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essenthe or delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items accurately and efficiently, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain the cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely meal delivery
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for all staff
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of meal preparation and presentation standards preferred
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable for success in this role
