Estimator

CARSTAR Rymal is seeking an experienced Appraiser to join our team. The Appraiser is responsible for providing customers and insurance companies with timely and accurate estimates for repairs with the ultimate goal of closing the sale and retaining the job. The Appraiser is responsible for the communication with the insurance adjuster, technician, and customer regarding the status of the vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect qualified vehicles and write damage appraisals.
• Responsible for handling all estimates/appraisals, supplements, and warranties when dealing with the customer.
• Follow up on customer appraisals in order to increase closing ratio; also develop and implement follow-up programs on appraisals.
• Ongoing communication with adjuster, production staff, and customer regarding repair status.
• Ensure insurance files are accurately closed and submitted for payment.
• Ensure all parts are ordered correctly prior to commencement of the job.
• Document parts ordering and back orders in the file.

Qualifications:

• At least one year's experience in the industry.
• Proficient in Mitchell RepairCenter, Mitchell Connect, eClaims Ultramate & Audatex software systems.
• Proficiency in other programs such as Proji, ARMS, and Alldata is an asset.
• Functional/technical knowledge of vehicle repair procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Flexible and adaptable to constant change.
• Highly organized individuals with the ability to multitask will be an asset.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan work under own initiative.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
