Underground Mining Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Underground Mining Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and operational oversight of our underground mining operations. You will work closely with a team of geologists, surveyors, and mine operations personnel to ensure safe and efficient extraction of ore. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing mine plans, including layouts, ventilation, and ground support.
• Conducting geotechnical assessments and ensuring slope stability.
• Optimizing drilling and blasting operations.
• Monitoring and managing mine ventilation systems.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
• Preparing technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in underground mining operations.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and ground control techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
