Broad Purpose:

We are looking to hire Shipper/Receiver/Tow Motor Operator (Counterbalance Propane Operator) - Skid Steer driving experience required for one of our Scarborough Warehouses (45 Milliken).

• Shift: 6am to 230pm.
• Wage: $25.01/hour.

Description

Responsibilities:

To safely operate the tow motor and accurately complete associated paperwork to prepare and load goods for timely shipment to our customers. Receiving of incoming materials/goods, as per the company's quality policy.

• Have a valid tow motor permit to safely load or unload trailers and pick or put away product as required

• Verify counts on BOL's

• Load trailers/trucks to achieve maximum space utilization

• Note if any damaged goods are received

• Visually inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments for any non-conformances

• Follow all required procedures

• Report all problems to your supervisor or lead hand when they occur

• Perform daily check list on the tow motor.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead hand

Safety Responsibility and Accountability:

• Mobile equipment operator to ensure daily operator checklist is completed after use. I.e. Clamp truck, Forklift, Elevated work platforms.

• Ensure Dock safety training is followed.

• Report all hazards / problems to your Supervisor when they occur.

• Report injury / incident to your Supervisor immediately

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety act, and good housekeeping practices.

• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) – Hi- viz vest, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection in the plant area

• Abide by all warehouse rules, safety rules and regulations of the Company

• Keep fire equipment and exits clear all time

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma

• Basic math skills

• Previous experience with an inventory management system/scanning device

• Organization skills

• Good communication

• Team player

• Self starter
