We're looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Moncton, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources the HR Generalist will work as part of a team of HR professionals supporting a diverse workforce of transportation professionals across the Atlantic Provinces and Central Canada. What You'll Do:- Provide exceptional employee customer service by assisting employees and managers on a daily basis.
- Lead workers' compensation case-management activities and leaves of absences management across multiple provinces.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete employee records.
- Support the Recruitment team and provide assistance to ensure a successful positive onboarding experience for new employees.
- Support the planning and execution of a variety of employee and contractor engagement events and programs.
- Responsible for working with managers to support offboarding processes and conduct exit interviews.
- Provide support to other team members in the human resources department and related departments
- Support and coach managers/supervisors in interpreting and implementing human resource and corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
- Other duties as assigned
- A combination of work experience and education in the field of Human Resources.
- Minimum of two years' work experience in an HR Generalist role which includes some experience in disability claims / leave management; ideally in a trucking, warehousing or construction type environment.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently.
- Strong impact and influential ability.
- Ideas, innovation, and problem-solving abilities to match transportation solutions to customer needs.
- Understanding of the Canada Labour Code as well as Provincial Labour Standards Acts.
- Being bilingual in English and French is a valuable asset for this role.
