Securiguard is hiring for a full-time Security Operations Center Supervisor. The Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the National Operations Support Center (NOSC), ensuring that all communications, monitoring, and support functions are performed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, lateral thinking and a deep understanding of security operations and technology.
What would you do:
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and performance support to all NOSC Operators.
- Oversee all NOSC activities, including system monitoring, alarm verification, incident coordination, and response escalation.
- Maintain continuous situational awareness of security events, technology alerts, and operational issues.
- Ensure accurate logging, documentation, and follow-up for all incidents, calls, service tickets, and system events.
- Review and validate operator reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Monitor shift schedules, maintain adequate staffing levels, and resolve or escalate coverage gaps.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for internal departments, field personnel, and external partners.
- Coordinate closely with IT, Facilities, Mobile Operations, and Emergency Services to support integrated response efforts.
- Liaise with third-party vendors, alarm companies, monitoring centres, and client representatives as required.
- Support workflow management, prioritization of tasks, and adherence to response timelines.
- Track ongoing issues, maintain status updates, and communicate progress to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with compliance checks, system audits, SOP adherence, and quality assurance reviews.
- Contribute to meeting departmental KPIs, service levels, and operational goals.
- Promote a consistent, professional, and collaborative team environment with strong communication practices.
- Support onboarding and ongoing training of new operators to ensure skill development and procedural understanding.
What would you bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the security industry, with a solid understanding of security protocols, incident response, and frontline operations.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC), Command Centre, or centralized monitoring/dispatch environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with strong professional communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a call centre, operations centre, SOC, dispatch, or similar high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, situational awareness, and strong operational judgment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure or during time-sensitive events.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and operational reporting tools.
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
Nice to Have
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (or ability to obtain).
- Previous experience working with two-way radio systems, telecom platforms, or integrated communication systems.
- Experience completing incident reports, investigations, or writing operational summaries.
- Familiarity with Real-Time Adherence (RTA) and Workforce Management (WFM) tools.
- Understanding of CCTV systems, alarm monitoring, or access control software (training provided if required).
- Strong coaching and training skills to support shift performance.
