Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results driven National Sales Manager to lead our Canadian oncology sales team starting in March 2026, focusing on Hematology Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. Based in Ontario, the country's largest oncology market, this role combines national leadership with direct field responsibilities as the Sales Representative for the province.
This individual will drive revenue growth, develop and mentor a high performing sales team, and manage key accounts across Canada. This hybrid leadership and field role requires strong oncology experience, exceptional communication and coaching skills, and the ability to collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations to achieve organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities may include the following:
- Develop and execute comprehensive national oncology sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and market share goals.
- Act as both the Sales Manager for the national team and the Sales Representative for Ontario, balancing leadership and field responsibilities.
- Lead, coach, and mentor regional sales representatives to optimize performance, professional growth, and territory coverage.
- Manage key accounts within Ontario and across Canada, focusing on hematology-oncology and gynecologic oncology centers.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and market data to identify opportunities, challenges, and trends.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director to align field activities with brand strategies and campaigns.
- Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance in all customer engagements.
- Support contract negotiations, proposals, and tenders to secure business growth with key accounts.
- Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders, oncology networks, and institutional stakeholders.
- Lead regular performance reviews and sales meetings to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate sales forecasting, budgeting, and territory planning in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Stay informed about competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and evolving trends within the oncology landscape.
- Represent the company at national conferences, meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 3 years in a sales management role.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct oncology sales experience required.
- Proven success managing sales teams, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market presence.
- Experience managing key oncology accounts and developing long-term client partnerships.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on field execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and CRM systems.
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable with strong problem-solving and coaching capabilities.
Working Conditions:
- Remote-based position in Ontario with national responsibility.
- Fluency in English required; French language proficiency is considered an asset.
- Frequent national travel required (approximately 50%) to support field visits, customer engagements, and leadership meetings.
- Must be able to sit or travel for extended periods.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and meet company travel policy requirements.
