Our client is a fast-moving, well-established perishable products company in the Vancouver area, supplying major customers through a high-volume wholesale distribution model. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking an up-and-coming President to lead the organization into its next phase of disciplined growth along side the retiring CEO. This role carries full P&L responsibility and requires a leader with the strategic insight, operational depth, and commercial instinct to protect margins, strengthen performance, and drive long-term competitiveness.
This is a hands-on executive role overseeing all major functions—including finance, sales, operations, procurement, and supply chain—while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and smart, data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate understands the unique time sensitivity and volatility of perishables and can build strategies that balance speed, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:

• Provide executive oversight of finance, sales, operations, supply chain, procurement, and cold chain logistics.
• Develop and execute strategies that ensure sustainable margin protection through pricing discipline, cost management, and operational efficiencies.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and scenario planning to guide sound business decisions.
• Oversee sales growth strategies while maintaining strong partnerships with key accounts, wholesalers, and transport providers.
• Strengthen end-to-end supply chain resilience, ensuring timely delivery, reduced spoilage, and optimized inventory levels.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
• Monitor market trends and competitive pressures, adjusting operations proactively.
• Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse, logistics, and sales teams.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you should have the following in your background:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Perishables, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in operations, distribution, logistics, or the perishable goods industry, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of cold chain management, perishable goods handling, and high-volume distribution.
• Proven ability to deliver margin protection through commercial strategy, cost analysis, and operational leadership.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management software.
