5 ton truck driver, operator

Alberta's unique recycling company seeks responsible, hardworking individuals to assist with processing styrofoam recycling, including filling and operating a recycling machine, bagging and organizing material, assisting with loading and unloading. Individuals should be able to move and lift 30 pound bags regularly and 60 pound bricks occasionally to build a pallet of polystyrene bricks. 2-3 times per week drive a 5 ton truck in the Calgary area.

MUST HAVE MINIMUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE driving a 5 ton truck in the CALGARY area.

· Comply with all government and in-house regulations and rules

· Display professionalism, punctuality and demonstrate an industrious work ethic

Qualifications:

Have a positive attitude and professional demeanor

· Be physically fit, have a high level of stamina / energy

· Be willing to work 36-44 hours a week outdoors

requires MINIMUM 3 years experience driving a 5 ton truck or larger

· Able to work in inclement weather conditions

· Excellent attendance record

· Able to work independently or part of a team.

Summary

As a Recycling Driver/Helper, you will be an essential part of our waste management team, reporting directly to the Operations management. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in picking up large tote bags filled with Styrofoam from commercial and retail customers, sorting of industrial bags of styrofoam for recycling, daily operation and maintenance of the recycling machine and building pallet loads of polystyrene 'bricks'. Out of town travel 1or 2x per month on average (not overnight)
