Forklift Technician

Overview

4J Lift Truck Inc. is a well-established material handling company based in Mississauga, proudly serving the industry for over 20 years. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Material Handling Mechanic to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background and practical experience working with forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material handling equipment. We offer competitive compensation based on experience, along with a company vehicle, uniforms, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, disassemble, diagnose, and troubleshoot heavy equipment and material handling machinery.

• Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on forklifts, scissor lifts, and related equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Conduct thorough inspections to identify worn, damaged, or failing components.

• Document all service work accurately and maintain detailed service records.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of service calls and repairs.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during on-site visits and client interactions.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Highly responsible, self-motivated, and professional.

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks or deadlines.

• Previous experience in material handling equipment repair is considered a strong asset.
