Apex Core Protection is expanding our Event Security Division, and we're looking for reliable, people-first professionals who stay calm under pressure and take pride in protecting their community. About the Role

As an Event Security Guard, you'll support safe and successful events by managing access points, monitoring crowds, responding to incidents, and representing Apex with professionalism and leadership. You'll work closely with event organizers, venue staff, and the public, ensuring everyone has a safe, positive experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide access control at entrances and restricted areas
• Monitor crowds and identify early signs of risk or disorder
• Support de-escalation and resolve minor issues professionally
• Assist with emergencies, evacuations, and incident response
• Maintain a visible, calm, and confident presence
• Complete basic reports for incidents or observations
• Work flexible shifts based on event schedules

What We're Looking For

• Minimum age: 19+ (per NS security requirements)
• Reliable, professional, and strong communication skills
• Experience in security, customer service, or hospitality is an asset
• Able to stand for long periods and work in dynamic environments
• Comfortable engaging with the public in high-energy settings
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules

Pay & Details

• Starting at $18–$25+/hr, depending on experience & event type
• Flexible shifts across Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, and surrounding areas
• Must be able to obtain a Nova Scotia security license (we can help guide you)
