Quality Control Inspector

Description

• Work with Quality Engineers and Quality Manager to determine best practices to control quality on the manufacturing/assembly floor

• Inspect welded joints for visible defects, correct dimensions, bead formation and conformance with drawing specification.

• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations

• Engage in proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems

• Work with members of the supply chain to ensure the quality of raw materials, components or sub-assemblies and supporting documentation

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs;

• Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration

• Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner

• Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists

• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action
