Job Title: Long Term Care Aid

Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Long-Term Care Aide to join our care team. The successful candidate will support residents with daily living activities, promote dignity and independence, and contribute to a positive and respectful environment. This role plays an essential part in enhancing the quality of life for residents living in long-term care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 resident support as required.
• Assist residents with mobility, including: Transporting residents via wheelchair

  Assisting with walking and safe ambulation

• Support residents with activities of daily living following care plans and facility guidelines.
• Ensure resident comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
• Assist with the set-up, operation, and maintenance of care-related equipment (as applicable).
• Clean and maintain equipment according to infection prevention and control standards.
• Transport residents between areas of the facility and, if required, to external appointments or care sites.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document and report changes in resident condition promptly and accurately.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused attitude.
• Experience working in a long-term care setting is an asset.

Physical Demands

• This position requires the ability to:
• Stand and sit for extended periods.
• Bend, twist, lift, and assist with resident mobility.
• Perform repetitive movements.
• Walk frequently and move between resident care areas.

Working Hours:
Subject to rotation and change, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $16.50- $18.77

Expected Hours:
4–40 per week
