As a General Sales Manager at our dealership, you'll oversee the entire sales operation, directing and motivating our sales team to achieve and exceed targets. Your role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, leveraging market insights to drive revenue growth, and optimizing customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for training, and mentoring sales staff, ensuring their performance aligns with our dealership's objectives. Additionally, your leadership will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong manufacturer relationships and fostering a high-performance sales culture that promotes teamwork and excellence.

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Create sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.

  • Conduct training programs to enhance sales staff skills and product knowledge.

  • Regularly assess sales team performance and implement improvement plans.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure a balanced and profitable stock of vehicles.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Analyze sales data to forecast future sales trends and generate reports for management.

  • Manage the sales department budget efficiently to control costs and optimize resources.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive manufacturers to leverage incentives and support.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and industry regulations in all sales activities.

Successful Candidates Possess:

  • Experience using PBS is considered an asset.

  • In-depth understanding of automotive sales processes, trends, and strategies.

  • 1-2 years as a sales manager.

  • Automotive experience is required.

  • Leadership skills and the ability to coach.

  • Exceptional communication skills; both verbal and written.

  • Previous sales and automotive experience would be an asset.

  • Ability to manage inventory and forecasting sales.
