Position Overview:

We are recruiting for a Senior Environmental Engineer – Team Lead, responsible for overseeing and executing environmental site assessments and remediation projects. The ideal candidate is an experienced environmental engineer with strong leadership skills, technical depth, and a client-first approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage ESA projects (Phase I–IV), including remediation, risk assessments, and risk management.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, cost estimates, and work plans.
  • Supervise and mentor a growing team of environmental professionals in Toronto.
  • Oversee lab and subcontractor procurement and manage performance.
  • Ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, regulations, and client expectations.
  • Maintain strong client, regulator, and team relationships.
  • Drive QA/QC, H&S compliance, and continuous process improvement.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing a team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental or Civil Engineering.
  • P.Eng. required (must be licensed in Ontario).
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting (preferably 8–10).
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario ESA regulations (O.Reg. 153/04, RSC, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to conduct occasional site visits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
