Job Summary

Subcontractor Opportunity – Food Production Plant Cleaning

Total Commercial Solutions

Full-time, Part-time, Contract

In-Office | Vancouver, BC, Canada


Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, subcontractors must provide:

  • Valid Business License & CRA Registration

  • $5M Commercial General Liability Insurance

  • Active WorkSafeBC (WCB) Coverage

  • Proven experience in food plant or high-risk sanitation cleaning

  • Staff trained in:

    • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

    • HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points)

    • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

  • Ability to provide or work with food-grade, color-coded equipment and CFIA-approved chemicals

  • On-site supervisor/lead hand per shift

  • Willingness to support audits, documentation, and corrective action processes

  • Availability for overnight/weekend cleaning and 24/7 emergency response

Scope of Work
  • Pre-op, operational, and post-op sanitation

  • Environmental cleaning (walls, drains, ceilings, non-food contact areas)

  • Allergen control & ATP/microbial testing support

  • Documentation of all cleaning activities and compliance with QA protocols.

Scheduling
  • Services to be performed outside of production hours (overnight/weekends).

  • Must be flexible for changes in production schedules.

  • Emergency call-out capability required.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Daily sanitation logs and inspection checklists.

  • Incident reports with traceable corrective actions.

  • Audit support (internal, GFSI, CFIA, FDA, etc.).

Compensation
  • Competitive subcontractor rates based on labour hours and scope.

  • Chemicals, PPE, and equipment may be provided by TCS or subcontractor, depending on contract terms.

  • Long-term opportunity for consistent work.
