Campaign and Fundraising Manager

We are searching for an accomplished, inspiring and results-oriented leader to assume the position of Fund Raising and Campaign Manager who will oversee and execute a largest capital campaign in the Agencies history to support the Alpha Houses growth.

This role is uniquely focused on all aspects of campaign management, cultivating and maintaining relationships with major donors and prospects, community leaders and volunteers. In addition to executing the campaign plan, the manager will serve as the primary liaison for networking and volunteer engagement ensuring that every stakeholder feels valued and connected to the campaigns success. Reporting to the Director of Communications, Community Engagement and Fund Development, this is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a well-respected social service agency in Calgary. The Manager must be skilled at evaluating and strengthening existing revenue streams for annual, major, and legacy giving and must have a can-do approach willing to provide hands-on support to lead and a capital campaign.

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:

• Implementation and managing all aspects of a planned Capital Campaign and other major fund development endeavours in support of Alpha Houses mission, including all solicitation phases of the campaign, event planning, cultivation, and campaign publications/communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic planning, management and organization of a capital campaign and major fund development endeavours in support of current and future goals of Alpha House.
• Manage prospect lists, developing and executing solicitation strategies, preparing grant applications, donor interface, and coordinating volunteers for fund-raising endeavours
• Oversee all campaign logistics, including pipeline management, donor tracking and data entry, solicitation materials, volunteer support, and progress reporting and impact reports that highlight the transformational benefits of donor support
• Organize and attend high-impact networking events, compelling cultivation opportunities and public relations initiatives that strengthen community ties with Alpha House.
• Promote the fund developments ability to achieve its goals by enhancing internal staff collaboration, creating processes and procedures to ensure efficient workflow, effective use of resources, and accountability to donors.

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 5 years proven success in managing all aspects of a capital campaign, or other major gift campaign, ideally in a social service agency
• Tolerant, non-judgmental with a high degree of compassion and empathy towards the unhoused and those struggling with addictions and or mental health
• Ability to communicate influentially and to create campaign communications with respect and gratitude
• A Class 5 drivers license and a vehicle that can be used for business purposes
• Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation considered an asset.
