About the Role
We're seeking a forward-thinking co-op student to join our Automation team as an AI-Driven Automation Developer. This role blends traditional test automation with cutting-edge AI tooling to accelerate test generation, validation, and execution. You'll work hands-on with tools like Playwright MCP, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, Amazon Q and Visual Studio, helping us build intelligent, scalable test pipelines for modern and legacy systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain automated test cases using Playwright, JMeter, and other frameworks
- Use AI agents (e.g., Copilot, Amazon Q) to generate and debug test scripts from structured prompts
- Record manual QA actions and convert them into reusable test cases using Playwright codegen
- Validate test cases with Jira Xray, including context-aware prompts and MCP server integration
- Execute tests via Playwright MCP Server, ensuring autonomous debugging and iterative success
- Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and test orchestration using Jenkins, Jira Xray and Bitbucket
- Document test strategies, selector logic, and prompt templates for auditability and reuse

- Backend and legacy systems: .NET Framework, .NET Core, NuGet Packages, Node.js, ASP.NET
- Data and API layers: IIS Web Applications, MS SQL Server, REST APIs
What We're Looking For
- Enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program
- Comfortable with at least one language from our stack
- Familiarity with test automation tools and basic AI-assisted development
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Clear communicator with a passion for structured documentation
- Bonus: Experience with prompt engineering, MCP server workflows, or legacy system testing
