Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic – Day Shift – Toronto (North York)

$40–$45/hour + Benefits | Full-Time Permanent | Monday–Friday Days

We are currently seeking two Maintenance Mechanics to join a growing plastics manufacturing facility in North York. This is a full-time, permanent, day shift opportunity with an established company that runs a wide variety of machinery, including extruders, bag machines, and other plastics production equipment.

We are hiring for two positions:

• Lead Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright
• Junior or Apprentice Maintenance Mechanic

About the Role

You will be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping all production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role requires a well-rounded technician who can troubleshoot and repair issues across multiple trades, including:

• Mechanical repairs (bearings, chains, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, alignment)
• Electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, switches, controls – low voltage)
• Welding & fabrication as needed
• Preventative maintenance on production lines and facility equipment
• Supporting installation, setup, and optimization of machinery

What We're Looking For

• Licensed 433A Industrial Millwright is a strong asset – but not required
• Open to unlicensed Millwrights, Maintenance Mechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or Apprentices with robust hands-on experience
• Experience with plastics manufacturing equipment, extruders, bag machines, thermoforming, or similar machinery is an asset but not required
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Reliable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship and safety

Compensation

• $40–$45/hour, depending on experience, certification, and position
• Full-time permanent role
• Day shift: Monday–Friday
