INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recording and reconciling financial transactions for clients
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Helping prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
• Preparing tax returns (personal and corporate) and related filings
• Handling payroll, reconciliations, and government remittances
• Answering client questions and providing day-to-day accounting support
• Training clients on cloud-based accounting systems
• Pitching in on additional projects to support client needs

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (new graduates welcome!)
• Interest in pursuing a CPA designation (an asset but not required)
• Strong technical skills in Excel and QuickBooks Online (experience with CaseWare, Jazzit, or TaxPrep is a plus)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
• A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
