Intermediate Staff Accountant (Toronto, ON)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000 – $75,000
About the Opportunity
Our client, a dynamic public accounting firm, is seeking an Intermediate Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of public practice experience who is looking to take on more responsibility and build both technical and client-facing skills.
What You'll Do
Prepare review and compilation engagements independently
Assist with audits under manager supervision
Prepare corporate and personal tax returns (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5)
Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide updates
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
Assist with planning and execution of assurance files
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA designation in progress (PEP stage preferred)
2–4 years of public accounting experience
Solid knowledge of ASPE and assurance standards
Proficiency in CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and communication skills
