Job Description

We're seeking a Labourer-Operator to join our team at the Oakville Terminal in Ontario, with an immediate start available. This role provides an excellent opportunity to step into active work and make a meaningful impact from day one.

Shift Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
• Possibility of weekend overtime based on client needs
• Orientation (8 hours) – paid

Pay Range: $43.68/Hr to $45.98/Hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labor duties including material handling, equipment and tool maintenance, trenching, snow and debris removal, and site cleanup; operate equipment and tools as trained and authorized.
  • Support skilled tradespeople with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on industrial facilities; identify required materials, equipment, and PPE for assigned tasks; ensure permit compliance and address unsafe conditions when necessary.
  • Participate in hazard assessments, safe work planning, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations; maintain accurate safety documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with project coordination by providing progress updates to supervision, organizing daily work activities to meet schedules, inspecting completed work for compliance with FLINT and client standards, and minimizing rework.
  • Maintain effective communication and records by encouraging teamwork, keeping positive crew interactions, and ensuring accurate timesheets, inventory, and other documentation; perform additional duties as needed to support safe and productive operations.

Qualifications
  • Strong work ethic focused on safety, productivity, and quality; mechanically inclined with ability to use tools and equipment effectively; able to interpret instructions and follow procedures; proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with fuel terminals and maintenances, including experience with work permits, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and system isolation protocols.
  • Certifications and training such as Petroleum Mechanic Training (PM03) (optional) & Certification/hours completed, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, Confined Space Training, Fit Testing, RPE/SCBA, and operation of Skid Steer, Forklift, or Zoom Boom.
  • Mandatory safety tickets including CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020, Aerial Work Platform, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, WHMIS.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding tasks in various conditions; must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean 5-year Driver's Abstract with fewer than 6 demerits.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
