Purpose and Scope

The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for leading the Canadian launch and commercialization of Jatenzo, an innovative oral testosterone replacement therapy. This leader will own the end-to-end commercial strategy, spanning sales, marketing, market access alignment, and stakeholder engagement, to establish Jatenzo as a market leader in men's health.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned pharmaceutical leader with deep experience in sales and marketing, a passion for men's health, and a proven ability to launch and scale specialty products in Canada.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing team of 5 field-based Sales Representatives across Canada.
  • Develop and execute territory plans, sales targets, and incentive programs to drive performance and accountability.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and optimize field execution strategies to deliver growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement focused on patient outcomes and commercial excellence.

Marketing Strategy

  • Lead development and execution of brand strategy, positioning, and messaging for Jatenzo.
  • Design and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness, trial, and loyalty among physicians and patients.
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Market Access to ensure aligned and compliant execution.
  • Manage agency partners and oversee creative, digital, and media planning.
  • Engage endocrinologists, urologists, pharmacists, and advocacy groups to strengthen brand presence and trust.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead all aspects of Canadian launch readiness—including pre-launch planning, field training, and in-market execution.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to inform strategy and adapt tactics throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Global colleagues to ensure alignment with brand vision and leverage best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Canada regulatory requirements and PAAB promotional standards.Market Access & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with Market Access to support reimbursement strategies and payer engagement
  • Work with Medical Affairs to support KOL development and scientific exchange
  • Collaborate with Global counterparts to align on brand vision and best practices
  • Responsible for reporting Adverse Events and Technical Complaints to Tolmar Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety (PSSP) that you learn of per SOP-00821, Pharmacovigilance and Technical Complaint Reporting.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage commercial budget and deliver on revenue, market share, and access objectives.
  • Oversee performance tracking, forecasting, and business analytics to inform decisions.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Tolmar's policies, Canadian regulations, and Pharmacovigilance & Patient Safety (PSSP) procedures (SOP-00821).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
  • Proven success in launching specialty or endocrinology products in Canada
  • Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare system, regulatory environment, and promotional codes
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred

Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are consistent with a normal office environment and/or remote from home office.
  • Travel is required for up to 40%.
