Mould Maker

Overview:
Valley Bath & Kitchen is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mould Maker – Cultured Marble Maker to join our manufacturing team in Mission, BC. In this hands-on, full-time role, you will cast, mold, and finish cultured marble products such as sinks and wall panels. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn, motivated to work independently, and comfortable using hand tools and equipment in a fast-paced production environment. No previous experience is required — on-the-job training will be provided.
Responsiblities:

• Casts and molds cultured marble products, such as sink basins and wall panels.
• Calculates the amount of material, such as ground marble, resin, and catalyst, needed to make products, utilizing specifications on the work order.
• Weighs materials, using scales, and pours materials into mixing machine.
• Pours a specified amount of material into a pail, add color, and mix ingredients to impart color to products.
• Applies wax to mold sections to facilitate separation of products from molds.
• Assembles cast, using bolts, and attaches sink mold to cast, using clamps.
• Sprays smoothing agent on mold and cast prior to pouring material.
• Pours material from mixing machine into the cast on the vibrating table, and applies colored mix randomly to the material to impart marble appearance to the product.
• Positions sink mold on the previously cast product and apply layers of the mix by hand to form sinks.
• Disassembles mold, using hand tools, and places products on racks for curing.
• Trims flash from molds, using a portable sander or grinding wheel.
• Polishes surfaces of products to remove blemishes, using pumice and a powered polisher.

• Eligibility to work in Canada.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Ability to speak and understand English.

• Basic math skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to work with Heavy tools and experience.
