Freezer Warehouse Associate

People Store Staffing Solutions is looking to hire Distribution Centre Associates for our client, the largest online grocery distribution project in Canada – state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in Balzac, Alberta.

As a Distribution Centre Associate in the freezer section, you will play a key role in ensuring every order is handled with care, accuracy, and efficiency.

Pay Rate: Starting at $17.00/hr
Shifts:

• Days: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Nights: 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM

Part time to full time job opportunity!

What We're Looking For:

• Comfortable working in cold environments (15°ree;C to -15°ree;C)
• Comfortable handling food items (pork, meat, dairy, chicken, etc.)
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation (no public transit access)
• Strong Assets:
• Forklift license
• Inventory or training experience

Responsibilities:

• Pick, pack, and bag customer orders using the Ocado Smart Platform, maintaining top-quality standards
• Receive goods from suppliers and decant products into Hive Totes
• Load orders into delivery vans and handle returns in the Dispatch Zone
• Operate hand scanners (RF devices) and mechanical handling equipment as needed
• Complete repetitive, mobile tasks throughout your shift
• Consistently lift/handle products up to 40 lbs; occasional heavier lifting with team support
• Follow Food Safety Policies and SOPs, including temperature checks, allergen policies, and hygiene standards
