Our platform enables local governments to achieve financial sustainability, make informed, data-driven decisions through robust modelling and compelling visuals.
The Business Data Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving sales, client success and revenue data pipelines. The role will also assist with the producing and maintaining of key analysis and dashboards which track sales activity and revenue performance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with executives to help develop strategic analysis and drive performance improvement. The role will also leverage a range of statistical techniques and programming languages to present findings to executives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and assist in providing data-driven recommendations from large datasets. The Data Engineer will also play an essential role in training and up skilling internal stakeholders, ensuring the broader organization can leverage data effectively in decision-making.

Requirements
- Experience: Experience in data analytics, data pipeline creation, or a related field. Experience within a SaaS company is a bonus.
- Tools & Technologies: Highly proficient in data visualization tools, advanced Excel skills (including Power Query and VBA), experience in Python, R or other scripting languages and with database management languages (SQL). Please note that excel proficiency will be tested as part of the application process.
- Education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or a related discipline. Exposure to financial mathematics or accounting is a plus.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex data insights to C-suite executives, as well as non-technical stakeholders, in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaboration: Experience working in a cross-functional environment, with a collaborative approach to solving business problems.
- Training & Mentorship: Experience in training and mentoring colleagues on data-driven decision-making and the use of analytics tools.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality reports and dashboards.
