We are seeking a SaaS-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy, accelerate scalable growth, and prepare the company for future liquidity events. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be a key partner in shaping our business model, strengthening SaaS economics, and building a finance function that supports rapid, global expansion.
The ideal candidate is a proven finance leader with deep SaaS experienceskilled in managing ARR, retention, churn, LTV/CAC ratios, and scaling financial systems in subscription-based businesses. Experience in private equity-backed companies and M&A integration is strongly preferred.
What you'll do
- SaaS Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to refine and execute our SaaS growth strategy.
- Lead long-range planning, unit economics modeling, and capital allocation decisions.
- Support pricing strategy, ARR expansion, and customer retention initiatives.
- Prepare the company for liquidity events, including M&A or recapitalizations.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly analysis across global SaaS business units.
- Track and optimize SaaS KPIs: ARR/MRR growth, net retention, churn, CAC, LTV.
- Implement scalable quote-to-cash and revenue recognition processes compliant with ASC 606.
- Lead deployment of SaaS-ready ERP/FP&A systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce integrations).
- Ensure revenue recognition, SaaS deferred revenue management, and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage audit, tax, and governance requirements in a multi-entity, global SaaS environment.
- Oversee risk management and insurance programs.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and subscription billing operations.
- Lead lender/investor relations and debt compliance.
- Support fundraising and PE/VC stakeholder engagement.
- Lead SaaS-focused M&A: target evaluation, due diligence, integration, and revenue synergies.
- Drive initiatives to expand margins and improve SaaS capital efficiency.
- Support post-acquisition system integration and alignment of SaaS revenue models.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as CFO or senior finance leader in SaaS or high-growth subscription businesses.
- Direct experience leading M&A transactions (evaluation through integration).
- Deep expertise in ARR/MRR management, SaaS metrics, unit economics, and retention.
- Proven track record with private equity-backed SaaS companies including exit planning.
- Strong understanding of quote-to-cash, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and subscription billing.
- ERP/financial systems experience (NetSuite, Salesforce, SaaS FP&A platforms).
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred).
- Ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams in SaaS growth environments.

While Remsoft's headquarters are in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Ottawa, Ontario, we are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from our office.
