Reporting to Senior Management, the Night Shift Production Manager is responsible for leading night shift plant operations with a focus on safety, productivity, and performance. This role provides clear direction and mentorship to team members at all levels, fostering professional development while ensuring process optimization, quality assurance, and effective organization/planning. The Night Shift Production Manager champions operational excellence and drives a high-performance culture grounded in safety, quality, and continuous improvement. What will you do? • Ensures night shift plant operations run smoothly, efficiently, safely and are in alignment with production requirements, customer specifications/requirements, and SOP's; • Leads, trains, and mentors team members, promoting skill development and adherence to company policies; • Reviews and approves daily production reports and advises senior management of any production/mechanical issues, performance insights, and/or employee related issues; • Recommends and implements improvements to production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and safety practices/safety program development; • Coordinate maintenance and repair of machines to avoid downtime and delays; • Assists plant operations by managing materials and ensuring products are properly organized and stored in designated locations; • Other duties as required. What will you need to succeed? * Experience in foundries, heavy manufacturing/industrial, construction, or other similar industry, including 5+ years in a leadership role; * Proven success managing and mentoring team(s); * Experience with basic mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting; * Forklift experience is required; * Basic computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). * Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships, connect effectively with team members, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment; * Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills to analyze problems and identify effective solutions; * Effective time management and multitasking skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and targets; * Demonstrates exceptional ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities; * Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; * Working knowledge of industrial gas appliances; * Operational experience with skid steers, front-end loaders, or similar heavy equipment. Even better if you bring any of these to the table: * College diploma and/or trade certification; * Background in metallurgy and/or knowledge of casting processes, scrap management, and quality systems.
