Reporting to the Manager, Revenue Services, the successful candidate will provide telephone reception services to support municipal operations and clerical support to the Financial Services Department. Deployment to other duties may be required from time to time.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License; a satisfactory current driver's abstract will be required.
- Familiarity with multi-line telephone systems and must have excellent written and oral communication skills, public relations skills and deal effectively with telephone traffic using tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrable understanding of basic bookkeeping.
- Superior clerical and organizational skills supplemented by cashiering experience.
- Demonstrable keyboard skills, with a minimum speed of 60 wpm, and ability to work within a Windows environment, including spreadsheets. Proof of typing speed or assessment results from the last 24 months must be included with your application. - Knowledge of and the ability to operate various types of office equipment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a multi-faceted work environment.
- Independence of judgement and capability of working with minimal supervision.
