- Lead or support building restoration and rehabilitation projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Conduct building assessments, condition evaluations, and warranty reviews.
- Prepare depreciation reports, building condition assessments, and technical specifications for restoration and repair projects.
- Develop project tenders, evaluate contractor bids, and assist with contract administration.
- Perform site inspections and investigate structural or building envelope issues to determine appropriate remediation strategies.
- Provide project coordination, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary consultants to maintain strong working relationships.
- Prepare technical reports, construction documentation, and project proposals that clearly outline findings and recommendations.
- Degree in Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in building science, restoration, or related structural design work.
- Familiarity with Part 4 of the BC Building Code, CSA A23.3, CSA 086, and CSA S16 standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
