Job Overview

A warm, professional family residing in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a caring and experienced live-in nanny to provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for their 3-year-old child. The family values open communication, reliability, and a nurturing environment that supports early learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare & Daily Routine

  • Provide attentive, loving, and patient care to a 3-year-old child throughout the day.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and play activities that foster creativity, language development, and social skills.
  • Supervise indoor and outdoor playtime; ensure a safe and engaging environment.
  • Support potty training and hygiene routines.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the child according to parental guidance.
  • Maintain consistent daily routines, including nap time, meal time, and playtime.
  • Accompany the child to local parks, playgroups, or other approved activities.

Household & Child-Related Duties

  • Keep child's areas (bedroom, play area, dining space) clean, organized, and safe.
  • Do the child's laundry and ensure clothing is clean and neatly stored.
  • Wash dishes and clean up after meals and playtime.
  • Light household tasks related to childcare (tidying up, wiping counters, etc.).
  • Care for pet

Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain daily communication with parents regarding the child's activities, meals, moods, and developmental progress.
  • Follow parents' preferences, routines, and disciplinary approaches.
  • Notify parents promptly of any health concerns or unusual behaviors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in childcare or as a nanny (experience with toddlers preferred).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (Level C) required.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Valid work authorization in Canada.
  • Fluent in English. Ability to speak in Tagalog an asset.
  • Excellent references from previous childcare positions.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Up-to-date immunizations (including COVID-19, if required by family).
  • Non-smoker

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months
