Job Details:
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Equipment Handling & Movement:
- Transporting, lifting, and moving tools, machinery parts, and other materials to and from the job site using tools like cranes and jacks.
- Aiding in the assembly, disassembly, and installation of machinery, using both hand and power tools for tasks such as cutting and drilling.
- Performing routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and tightening parts of machinery under the millwright's supervision.
- Keeping the work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly stored.
- Restocking supplies, keeping inventory of parts, and reporting any shortages or damages.
- Following all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing the appropriate PPE, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicating effectively with millwrights and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Performing basic mechanical tasks as instructed, such as measuring, cutting, and drilling to prepare components.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIESPhysical Stamina:
- The physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and working in potentially confined spaces.
- A basic understanding of mechanical/electrical concepts and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- A keen eye for detail is essential when working with mechanical/electrical components and following instructions.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
- The capacity to follow instructions from skilled millwrights and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or safety.
- Must be willing to take training if needed.
