OVERVIEW

This position is based at our Orillia plant and will be working in the Iron Shop to fabricate steel structures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experienced in sign fabrication.
• Welding license (47.1) is an asset.
• Must be able to read technical drawings
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Perform quality, accurate, and timely work
• Welds steel structures
• Measure and cut various types of steel on horizontal band saw
• Operate hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place
• Lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shop area
• Other work-related duties assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES

• Welding license (47.1) is an asset
• 2 years of welding steel
• Self-motivated and reliable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in reading technical drawings
