Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Electrical Engineer for a challenging role in a gas plant project located in BC. This project involves converting infrastructure components, such as an old compressor, into electric motors, as part of an early-stage detailed design. Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure components for a gas plant, focusing on converting compressors into electric motors.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure project success.
• Specify and purchase electrical equipment, including medium voltage switchgear, MCCs, and transformers.
• Program and set relay protections using ETAP software for arc flash, load flow, and short circuit analysis.
• Ensure proper e-house design for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficient in medium voltage systems (13.8 kV, 6.9 kV, 4160V).
• Strong expertise in ETAP software for arc flash, load flow, and protection coordination.
• P.Eng certification.
• Experience in specifying and reviewing equipment such as MV switchgear, MCCs, and VFDs.

• Site and commissioning experience.
• Experience working with a small EPC background.
• Registration with EGBC in BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72.00 - $78.00/hr.
