Punch Press Operator

About the Job:We are looking for a Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate punch press machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. You'll work closely with the shop team to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate punch press machines.
• Load and align sheet metal materials.
• Edit or input machine programs as needed.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and tooling checks.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear proper PPE.
• Communicate issues with tooling or equipment to supervisors promptly.

What We're Looking For:

• 1–2 years of experience operating punch press or similar metal fabrication machinery.
• High school diploma.
• Forklift license (preferred).
• Experience with punch presses or other CNC machinery is an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
• Standing, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
• Work in a shop environment with noise, dust, and fumes.

Employment Details:Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:15pm to 2:15am (40 hours per week).
